These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in programmes offered by Maranth and your use of the Maranth website at maranth.info. By submitting an enquiry, confirming enrolment, or accessing our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Nature of Programmes

Maranth provides educational reading programmes. All programmes are educational in scope and are not a form of regulated financial advisory service. Maranth does not hold a Capital Markets Services licence or a Financial Adviser's licence under the Financial Advisers Act (Cap. 110) of Singapore, and does not provide investment advice, product recommendations, or personal financial guidance of any kind.

Participants seeking regulated financial advice are encouraged to consult a MAS-licensed financial adviser.

2. Enrolment and Fees

Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of the programme fee and a written confirmation from Maranth. Places are allocated on a first-confirmed basis. Maranth reserves the right to decline an enrolment at its discretion, in which case any fee paid will be returned in full.

Fees are as stated on the Maranth website at the time of enrolment. All fees are in Singapore Dollars and include GST where applicable. Fees cover all programme sessions, physical materials, facilitation, and use of the session venue. There are no supplementary charges for materials distributed during the programme.

3. Transfers and Withdrawals

Participants who wish to withdraw from a programme or transfer to a future cohort must notify Maranth in writing. The following terms apply:

  • Fourteen or more days before the first session: Participants may transfer to a future cohort at no charge. A refund, less a S$30 administrative fee, may be requested in writing.
  • Fewer than fourteen days before the first session: Transfers to a future cohort will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Refunds are not available at this stage.
  • After the programme has commenced: No transfer or refund is available once any session has been attended. In the event of extenuating circumstances (such as a medical emergency), Maranth will consider requests at its discretion.

All withdrawal or transfer requests should be directed to [email protected] or by telephone to +65 6749 3082.

4. Programme Delivery

Maranth reserves the right to:

  • Substitute a facilitator where necessary without notice, provided that a qualified substitute is appointed
  • Reschedule a session in the event of unavoidable circumstances, with reasonable notice to participants
  • Cancel a programme if minimum enrolment numbers are not reached, in which case all fees will be returned in full

Sessions are conducted in English. Reading materials are written in English and formatted for print. Maranth does not provide translation services.

5. Materials and Intellectual Property

All reading materials, glossary cards, worksheets, and other written content provided as part of a Maranth programme are the intellectual property of Maranth or its licensors. Participants are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use these materials for their own educational purposes. Reproduction, distribution, or resale of Maranth materials is not permitted without prior written consent.

6. Participant Conduct

Participants are expected to engage with programme materials and cohort discussions in a respectful and considered manner. Maranth reserves the right to ask a participant to leave a session or withdraw from a programme if their conduct is disruptive, disrespectful, or inconsistent with the educational nature of the programme. In such cases, no refund will be made.

Cohort discussions are confidential. Participants are expected to treat the contributions of other cohort members with discretion and not to share personal disclosures made during sessions with parties outside the cohort.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maranth's liability to any participant in respect of any claim arising from programme participation is limited to the programme fee paid. Maranth is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or financial loss arising from participation in a programme or reliance on materials provided.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
